Lin'an Urban Terrace Design临安城市阳台设计

Lin'an Qingshan Lake Urban Living Room is a conceptual design for the kick-off area of a new lakeside district in Lin'an, Hangzhou. The brief covers eight development plots with a combined site area of about 189,400 m² and a total floor area of about 474,900 m², at an overall plot ratio of 2.51 and with roughly 40,500 m² of green space.

The scheme occupies a peninsula that reaches into the lake, framed by forested hills. Its towers are shaped like mountain peaks, softly tapering and stepped, so that the new skyline echoes the ridges behind it. Their facades are planted with terraces and vertical greenery, while broad, landscaped podiums, lakeside promenades and layered roof gardens form the "urban terrace" of the title, opening the district to the water.

The renderings show the district in morning mist, in bright daylight, from above and at dusk with the towers reflected in the lake. The project was developed by Atelier Alter Architects together with China Academy of Building Research and ECD, and was presented in a project film in March 2023.
